When I started to make inquiries about our forthcoming trip our travel agent gave us several books and pamphlets to read about the place we wanted to visit.  In several of them it recommended that we purchase insurance before we left. On the next trip to the travel agent I had to ask exactly What is Travel Insurance?  We have a very patient agent and she took the time to explain what was available and all of the things it covered.  The more of the facts that were explained to me the more benefit I could see to having my trip insured.
