Livescribe about the smart pens introduced by this company can be good reading material for prospective buyers. The company is based in Oakland, California and develops the mobile computing system used for its Pulse and Echo smart pens. NYTimes.com had a Livescribe review in August 2010 that called the Echo smart pen a brilliant piece of technology. The New York Times Magazine asserted in a separate Livescribe review that the Livescribe pen will not forget. Certain technology that the smart pens are equipped with was licensed by Livescribe from the Anoto Group.
