The Dos and Don’ts of being a personal trainer

When it comes to being a personal trainer, here are the things that you have to do: have a genuine interest in health and fitness; be a fit and healthy person yourself; have great communication skills; have loads of patience (especially when dealing with difficult clients); and you must always be able to think out of the box, especially when you have to come up with new ways to jazz up your fitness classes. As for the don’ts of being a personal trainer, you must not: do fitness training just for the sake of money as you will not be good at it; and you must not expect too much from your clients, they are after all, trying to learn from you.
