When I became interested in RC Boats, I did not realize all of the options available as well as the decisions that had to be made. Starting out, I researched the difference between nitro and gas remote control boats. I found that although nitro boats were less expensive to purchase than gas, the mixture of fuel that they used to run was more expensive than a gas engine. However, the nitro boats, I discovered, were faster but run time was less than those boats that used a gas mixture fuel to operate. This left me with making a choice between spending less up front but more on fuel for a faster boat that had a shorter run time or spending more up front to gain a less expensive running engine that was slower but lasted longer per run.
