I saw a funny t shirt the other day in a very popular department store. This shirt had a picture of a cassette on it. Of course my ten year old daughter had no idea what a cassette was and asked me what it was. When I explained that when I was little we used to listen to records for our music and then we kind of graduated to cassettes. She only knows Cd’s and mp3′s. So, this funny t shirt was kind of like a history lesson for her. What is even funnier is that I forgot to explain about 8 track tapes that I can remember from when I was very little. Kids just don’t realize how easy it is to get the music they want to hear these days. When I was kid we used to have to go to the store to get the music we wanted or record it onto a cassette from the radio. Now, you just flip on your computer and type in a song and then you have it. You download it and then listen to it all in a matter of minutes. I am glad that we saw that funny t shirt that day and I was able to teach my daughter about a little history of music.
