Despite this traditional look, however, the Shimano Stella FD boasts very new features. It adopts the Propulsion and Paladin System as well as the Aero Wrap II System that Shimano reels have recently introduced in its product lines. Beyond all these exciting new features, the Shimano Stella FD also sports a lightweight magnesium frame. The reason why it’s one of the top performing reels in the market today is probably because the improvements are housed in this very light tool, which makes it extremely convenient to use. I measure all other reels against this one now and only a few have matched the worth my Shimano Stella FD gives me.
