This seemed like a very good time to buy a home.  We had the extra cash that we would need for the down  payment on most homes that we would like to live in and the price of homes in most areas were selling at record lows.  Our only problem was that we were both still working and were not prepared to move to a new location at this time.  As we started to work with our port aransas real estate broker we learned some of the pros and cons of buying now and renting the house out until we were ready to move into it.  We really received a lot of good advise and now know what to look for.
