I have a good friend who lives in South Africa. She has been living there her entire life. She is very familiar with the area and can make recommendations for just about anything in the area. Finding a nice but reasonable hotel was the goal.  We had been planning this trip to Melbourne for a year and wanted to do it in style.  There were numerous Melbourne hotels to chose from and that made my decision even tougher.  I liked the fact that many of the hotels had online websites that I could look at and see pictures of the accommodations.  A few of the sites even offered live stream video so I could see the hotel at the very moment that I was watching the site.  We finally made our decision and in the end it was the right one.

My sister’s birthday is next week, and we are planning a happy hour Jupiter FL style. The guest list is mostly family and close friends. It is a surprise party. That is, if I can keep myself from spilling the beans. At this point the plan is to pretend that we are going to dinner with the family at some upscale restaurant. Our family decided a long time ago that we do not necessarily have to skip out on some of the fun things to do on vacation, as long as we know how to budget and how to look for deals.
