Restaurant Layout Is Strategically Planned

July 8th, 2009 . by admin

The average diner probably doesn’t realize the planning that goes into the layout of a restaurant.  Each individual component that goes into the make-up of the restaurant is strategically placed.  If there is a gift shop or bakery, that is the area where the diners enter and wait to be seated.  That gives them time to browse in the gift shop and make a purchase.  Looking at all the delicious bakery items gives the diners a preview of what is available for dessert or to take home and enjoy.  Also located in the front of the building is the coat racks and the restrooms.  As the hostess escorts the diners to their seats, they will notice the salad bar is centrally located to provide easy access for everyone.  The kitchen will usually be found in the rear of the building where the hustle and bustle of food preparation will not disturb the guests.  Next time you eat out, check the restaurant layout and see if this is not correct.
