Medical billing software is used in conjunction with the medical billing occupation.  This is a really great job for someone who is considering going into the health care industry but not so involved.   There really were no major requirements to obtain a medical billing position however today more and more companies are requiring some training from a career or vocational school.  There is a lot to learn in this field such as medical billing software, billing codes and more.  It is both a challenging and rewarding job with other opportunities available such as supervising, office manager, directors of billing, etc.
